Probably the most superior analysis vessel ever is about to set sail on its inaugural 40-day mission to search for never-before-seen creatures within the deep sea and make clear how life could have arisen elsewhere within the universe.

The 110-metre-long ship Falkor (too), beforehand referred to as the Polar Queen and devoted to offshore business, has undergone a 17-month refit to deck it out with scientific gear.
