Invasive rodents known as nutria might threaten the soundness of ageing levees and earthen dams in California’s Central valley area if the state fails to regulate their inhabitants.

“We are at a critical point in which we still have the opportunity to completely eradicate these animals from waterways in California,” says Jared Barr on the California Division of Fish and Wildlife.
