Susceptible Australian marsupials similar to bandicoots and bettongs usually fail to recognise hazard after they encounter invasive predators – however, with coaching, they might be taught to flee extra rapidly.

These native mammals aren’t tailored to the presence of launched predators like foxes or cats, so they might lack the intuition to flee.
