Stuffed lifeless birds made into drones may spy on animals or people

A challenge for incorporating lifeless birds into flapping-wing drones would possibly allow new methods of stealthily snooping on wildlife – and probably spying on individuals for navy functions.

“Instead of using artificial materials for building drones, we can use the dead birds and re-engineer them as a drone,” says Mostafa Hassanalian at New Mexico Tech.

Hassanalian and his colleagues have mixed taxidermy chook elements with synthetic flapping drone mechanisms to imitate the overall look and motions of dwelling birds extra carefully.
