A number of the gorgeous winners of the Sony World Pictures Awards

From a sea turtle and diver swimming in concord in Malaysia to a red-eyed tree frog in its Costa Rican rainforest dwelling, take a peek at a few of the successful entries in one of the prestigious images competitions

THIS spectacular choice of photos embodying nature’s grandeur and selection are among the many better of the bunch within the 2023 Sony World Pictures Awards competitors, open to entries from many corners of the world.

For the Vietnam class, Thien Nguyen Ngoc took first place for his tranquil shot of a sea turtle and diver swimming collectively in concord off the coast of the Perhentian Islands, Malaysia (pictured above). Pictured beneath it’s the successful entry for Bangladesh – the yellow eyes of a noticed owlet peeping out from its tree trunk nest within the nation’s Nationwide Botanic Backyard, taken by Protap Shekhor Mohanto.

One other dramatic eye options in the principle picture, this time belonging to a red-eyed tree frog in its Costa Rican rainforest dwelling, which noticed Manuel Rodriguez shortlisted within the Latin America class.

Andres Novales from Guatemala additionally made this shortlist for his ominous shot (pictured above) of a crocodile on the muddy banks of the Usumacinta river, taken in the direction of the tip of Guatemala’s wet season. It’s a reassuring sight, since crocodiles are a key indicator of a wholesome ecosystem.

The awards additionally gave a nod to some dazzling pure surroundings. The picture above by Huazheng Hong is the Singapore winner. He captured the immense scale of the Ilulissat icebergs off Greenland. Pictured beneath is a shortlisted shot by Vlatko Rafeski of North Macedonia.
